In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
