I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
